About

Duncan Stangel is a first-year Global Affairs major at the University of Notre Dame. His research interests include sustainability, the role of religious institutions in shaping government social policy, and the rise of far-right populism in Europe. He previously presented thematic analysis research applying President Jimmy Carter’s diplomatic philosophy to the modern conflict between Israel and Palestine. On campus, he is an Observer columnist, a WVFI radio host, and a hospitality minister at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
