About

David Su is a member of the Class of ’27 majoring in Global Affairs. Su’s research interests focus on governance, national security, and development, particularly how policies are implemented and experienced at the community level in East Asia. Previously, Su conducted independent ethnographic fieldwork in Yunnan, China, as a Kellogg Experiencing the World Fellow, studying community-led heritage tourism and local agency among Bai and Naxi communities. Su has also worked as a research assistant under Kellogg Professor Laura Gamboa on a survey-based project examining social networks and trust, and as a Policy Fellow at Cambridge Global Advisors, contributing to policy research on public institutions and cybersecurity.
