Bhavya Sinha is from Bihar, India and is currently a graduate student in Economics. Prior to joining the PhD program at Notre Dame, she worked as a Research Manager and Senior Research Associate at Inclusion Economics India Centre on a portfolio of gender-and governance-related projects in Bihar, India. She also spent over 2 years at J-PAL South Asia working on an electricity project which aimed to reduce groundwater exploitation in India. At these organisations she has led various stages of applied microeconomics research from research design to data collection, analysis, and policy dialogues with government officials. Her current research interests are in health economics, with a focus on global health, preventive health investments, and the design of effective health policies.
