About

Alexandra Funk is currently conducting research under Professor Eileen Hunt, working to edit and prepare Mary Wollstonecraft's A Vindication of the Rights of Woman to be in its most accurate form for publication. Funk's role in this project involves close textual analysis to ensure the accuracy of this print edition.

Funk received an SLA Grant, which supported her study of the French language in Montpellier, France, through an immersive program designed to enhance her linguistic and cultural understanding. This experience both furthered her understanding of the French language as well as her ability to engage with European history and culture. Funk has developed great skills in navigating competitive applications, language immersion opportunities, and research initiatives at the University of Notre Dame. She is happy to serve as a resource for students interested in research and international study opportunities at the university.
