Aidan Martinez '29 is from San Antonio, Texas, majoring in Global Affairs and Political Science with a minor in the Hesburgh Program in Public Service at the University of Notre Dame. Martinez is passionate in public policy and law, specifically how it impacts vulnerable populations, as well as democracy within Latin American countries. With experience interning in Washington D.C. and representing organizations like the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and Communities in Schools - San Antonio, he has cemented himself as a young advocate.
On campus, he remains involved across multiple disciplines. Within Student Government, he serves as a FUELer in the Department of Race, Ethnicity, and International Engagement. He is also involved with College Democrats, Black Student Association, and the Transformational Leaders Program. In his free time, Martinez enjoys dancing with RitmoND, a Latin dance club, and crocheting.
Through the Kellogg Developing Researchers Program, he hopes to expand his bandwidth of research skills and further develop his Spanish proficiency related to his specialties.
