A volume coedited by Faculty Fellow Peter Casarella (theology) and former Brazilian Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Democracy and Human Development Maria Clara Bingemer has now appeared in Portuguese as Testemunho: profecia, política e sabedoria (PUC-Rio Editora/Editora Reflexão, 2017).
In the book, international scholars explore the meaning of Christian witness in the contemporary world. The product of a seminar held at De Paul University in 2012, the volume was originally published in English as Witnessing: Prophecy, Politics, and Wisdom (Orbis, 2013). It includes contributions by Notre Dame theologians J. Matthew Ashley and Todd Walatka in addition chapters by Bingemer and Casarella.
