Fulbright-Garcia Robles COMEXUS Mexico Studies Chair
This program, in partnership with Fulbright COMEXUS, aimed to create or strengthen ties between US universities and their academic counterparts in Mexico. It sought to promote greater knowledge of Mexico within the United States and to bolster the bilateral relationship for the benefit of both countries.
The ideal candidate was an established academic with extensive full-time teaching experience in the social sciences at a higher education institution. However, applications were also considered from academics in the earlier stages of their professional careers, provided they had a minimum of 8 years of experience.
The scholarship recipient was required to give a presentation of their work or organize an event or seminar about Mexico to promote discussion within the Notre Dame community, while also developing research on a relevant topic.

Chilean Fulbright Chair in Democracy and Human Development
The Chilean Fulbright Chair in Democracy and Human Development brought scholars from Chile to the Kellogg Institute who had the potential to make significant contributions to research on democracy and human development.
The position was the result of a five-year partnership between Kellogg and Fulbright Chile and furthered scholarship in the Institute’s core thematic areas of study. The fellowship allowed a Chilean faculty member or researcher to spend a semester at the Institute engaging in research appropriate for eventual policy application. While the first fellowship was awarded in the spring term of 2021, the program continued to strengthen cooperation between Chilean higher education institutions and the Kellogg Institute.
Furthermore, the initiative provided fresh perspectives and expertise on contemporary issues in Chile, a country that had been a focus of study at Kellogg since the 1980s.
