About

Sonia Zhang is a double major in economics and global affairs with a minor in data science. Interested in studying international organizations, global developmental goals and projects, Zhang is working with Professor Erin Graham through ISP. Zhang is now working on a project focused on the field of international climate finance. The project will investigate how international organizations give technical and financial assistance to developing countries, especially research about the “de-risking” categories of projects that emerge within the international organizations’ strategies and policies. Working on this project, Zhang helps her advisor conduct literature reviews and document coding using software such as Atlas.

On campus, Zhang is a member of the Greater China Scholar Program and the Building Bridges Program. She is also the project director of the Student Policy Network club at Notre Dame, leading projects in public policy research.
