Shilpi Sunil Kumar is from India, and she earned her B.A. in Economics from University of Delhi, India. She has a MSc. in Economics from IGIDR, Mumbai. Before joining the University of Notre Dame, Shilpi has worked with NIPFP, India as a consultant and with ICRIER, India as a Research Assistant. Her research interest includes Macroeconomics.

Current Research

My current work studies macroeconomic relationships, particularly the role of wage uncertainty on the consumption and savings behavior of households and its macroeconomic and welfare implications for advanced economies like U.S. and developing countries like in Africa and Asia. Finally, I analyze the transmission of conventional fiscal and monetary policies in presence of wage uncertainty.
