My name is Pilar Giannini, and I am a PhD candidate in political science specializing in comparative politics. I am from Santiago, Chile. I graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where I obtained my BA and Masters. I subsequently worked for La Corporación de Estudios para Latinoamérica (CIEPLAN) and the United Nations Development Programme in Chile. My areas of research interests include quality of democracy and linkages between parties and citizens in Latin America.
