Before joining the PhD program at Notre Dame, Nguyen received her Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking from National Economics University of Vietnam in 2012 and Master's degree in Economics from Duke University in 2014. Her current work is broadly in the field of development economics, with a primary focus on agriculture, urban-rural migration, and land rights. Her previous research studies the role of international trade on structural transformation.
