2009-2010 The book MacCormack hopes to write on Acosta will seek to understand some aspects at least of Acosta's thinking, alien though it is to our own engagement with the past. In addition, while Acosta is attracting increasing attention among scholars, no one has so far taken into consideration his untranslated Latin writings as MacCormack plans to do.
