Ana Carrigan is a Colombian-Irish journalist and cinematographer dedicated to exploring human rights issues in Latin America. Her award-winning films include Roses in December (1982), She’s Nobody’s Baby (1985), Heartstrings (1986), and Misquito Come Home (1987). Her articles have appeared in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and The Irish Times among others. She has written two highly acclaimed books: Salvador Witness: The Life and Calling of Jean Donovan (Simon & Schuster 1984, Orbis 2005) and The Palace of Justice: A Colombian Tragedy (Four Walls Eight Windows, 1993). Carrigan has lived in Bogota, New York, Dublin and London.
