Virna Vidal Menezes is from Fortaleza, Brazil, and is currently a graduate student in Economics. Before attending Notre Dame, Virna received her M.A in Economics from the Federal University of Ceara (UFC) and worked as a research assistant in projects focused primarily on early childhood education and the impact evaluation of education programs and interventions. Her current research interests are development and labor economics, with a focus on Education in Latin America.
