Keough School faculty member Paul Winters, a Kellogg faculty fellow, recently co-authored the article “AI is transforming weather forecasting” in The Conversation.

The article explores the way in which AI’s new role in weather forecasting is a game changer for farmers, offering new tools to navigate and thrive amidst increasing environmental challenges. 

AI has enabled the analysis of vast datasets, leading to more precise weather conditions allowing the anticipation of weather patterns to be more reliable and therefore improving weather-based decision making.
