Kellogg Postgraduate Fellowships

The Kellogg Institute announces postgraduate fellowships for graduating students of the University. Students who seek funding for work related to sustainable development may apply. (See full eligibility details below.)

Applicants may receive up to $6000 for unpaid work that students have received with a reputable organization for a period of up to 6 months. The work must relate to sustainable development and can take place in the United States as well as around the world.

Note: Students are responsible for obtaining visas, if required, for the work.

 
Eligibility

Graduating Master of Global Affairs students with a concentration in sustainable development as well as graduating seniors of the Kellogg International Scholars Program and/or International Development Studies minor may apply. Applicants must find a reputable organization that will offer them unpaid work. The work should require applicants to utilize skills gained from the degree they are currently earning from ND and should be work that will enhance their skills and make them more marketable for a job.

 

Funding

Students may receive up to $6000 to cover airfare, food, and lodging.

Requirements

Recipients will be required to sign a contract with the University and will be required to attend a meeting about the fellowship.

Upon completion of the work, recipients will be required to submit a 2-page report to the Kellogg Institute.

  • Application form
  • The offer letter from the organization noting that the student has been awarded work, the dates, where it is located, and if any funding is being offered
  • Budget form
  • One page explanation of what the student will be doing and how it fits with sustainable development
  • One page statement of motivation
  • Resume
  • Letter of recommendation
  • Transcript
