The Kellogg Institute for International Studies, part of the University of Notre Dame’s new Keough School of Global Affairs, is an interdisciplinary community of scholars that promotes research, provides educational opportunities, and builds linkages related to democracy and human development.
Ashley Rowland is the writer/editor at the Kellogg Institute, where she is responsible for producing stories and other written content about the Institute.
Rowland is a former journalist who worked at newspapers in Florida and Tennessee before moving to Seoul, South Korea, to work as reporter and photographer for Stars and Stripes. There, she covered the United States military and the Korean peninsula, and was embedded in 2009 with the military in Iraq. After returning to the US, she worked as an editor for a network of suburban papers with the Chicago Tribune.
Rowland earned an BA in interdisciplinary studies in journalism and society from the University of Alabama and an MA in international relations from Troy University in Seoul.
