Research Interests: I am interested in researching the disparity between rural and urban Chinese and the development of better health care in rural China.
Current Research: I am currently researching the Chinese scholar Tan Si Tong and his Ren Xue. The goal of this research is to look into Tan's ideas of "electricity" and how his theory of "connectedness" demonstrates a concept of democracy before western influences in China. Another item of research involves the evermore urgent issue of internet censorship in China.
