Entrepreneurial Internships
The Kellogg Institute provides a limited amount of funding to students who are seeking internships at sites other than those listed as available on the Kellogg web site. Students who wish to apply for funding for these internships must make the initial contact with the organization where they would like to intern to ensure that the organization is willing to work with them. Students should request a letter or email from the organization that states the organization would be willing to work with the student 40 hours a week for 8 weeks during the summer. In general, Kellogg supports internships in Latin America, Asia or Africa, or organizations that work on these regions in the United States. The work of the organizations should have a clear relationship to the Kellogg Institute's themes. As part of the application, students should write an essay that explains the mission of the organization, why the Kellogg Institute should support the internship, how the student's work at the organization would be related to the Institute’s research themes, and what qualifications the student possesses for the internship.
In addition to the above requirements, students should complete all steps of the internship application process found at
http://kellogg.nd.edu/students/internship/app_proc.shtml Applications for entrepreneurial internships are due at the same time as all other internship applications.
Applicants are required to notify the Kellogg Institute of any funding received from another source; in most cases the Institute will adjust its award.
