Internship Program
Before Applying
Please note that while service can be a part of the internship experience, it is not a significant factor in the selection of interns. The Kellogg Institute and partner organizations choose to work with students who are keenly interested in learning about global issues and in utilizing what they have learned in the classroom in the field.
With this in mind...
-
Carefully read over the descriptions of the Kellogg Internship Program and of the organizations you are planning to apply to.
-
Note that the Institute aims to connect student academic and career goals with hands-on experience in the field. Study the internship job descriptions to determine each organization’s goal and expectations—and the best match for your own goals and interests.
-
Write your essays with the interests and expectations of both the Kellogg Institute and the internship organization in mind.
-
Applications chosen by the Kellogg search committee will be screened by the host organizations, which will be interested in your academic program, career interests, previous experience, and motivation.
