Leslie MacColmanLeslie MacColman

Doctoral Student Affiliate

Leslie MacColman is a fourth year PhD student in Sociology and Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame. She is a Presidential Fellow and is affiliated with the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies and the Kellogg Institute for International Studies. Leslie's research focuses on local governance, institutional change, and police reform in Latin America.

Prior to joining the Notre Dame community, Leslie worked at several rights-based civil society organizations and as an international development consultant, mainly in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She holds an MA in International Relations, Peace and Conflict Studies from the Universidad del Salvador, where she was a Rotary Peace Fellow, a certificate in NGO management from the Universidad de San Andrés, and a BA in Anthropology and Spanish from the Davidson Honors College at the University of Montana.

She has received grants from ISLA and USAID for research in Honduras and from the Kellogg Institute and Fulbright for research in Argentina.
