Kellogg Institute Supplemental Awards for PhD Students

The supplemental award aims to attract outstanding graduate students who have already been offered departmental fellowships in the Political Science, Sociology, Economics, or History departments at Notre Dame. To be eligible, a student must intend to devote their major doctoral field to the study of one or more of these regions (Latin America, Africa, and Asia). Students from any of these regions are also eligible regardless of field of study or discipline.

Supplemental AwardThe Kellogg Institute will offer the supplemental fellowships for up to five years to qualified students. Recipients will receive $5,000 per year to supplement their departmental stipends. These funds will be disbursed in the fall and spring semesters. Fellowships are renewable annually for four additional academic years, contingent upon satisfactory progress toward the PhD.

Purpose

The Kellogg Institute is pleased to offer this supplemental financial support to attract to Notre Dame outstanding graduate students who intend to work on or who come from Africa, Asia, or Latin America.
