Book Translation Project

The Brazilian Ministry of Culture has awarded the Kellogg Institute funding to translate and publish a series of renowned works of Brazilian literature and history in collaboration with the University of Notre Dame Press. Titles in the series include: A Formação das Almas, written by a Visiting Chair in the Study of Brazilian Culture, José Murilo de Carvalho, and Raízes do Brazil by Sérgio Buarque de Holanda. By exposing these acclaimed works to a new audience, the Ministry of Culture and the Kellogg Institute will promote the study of Brazilian culture at Notre Dame and beyond.
