Projects & Partnerships
Throughout its history, Kellogg’s partnerships have been a vital tool for accomplishing the Institute’s research initiatives, providing new learning opportunities for students, and reaching our to peer institutions across Latin America.

Among Kellogg’s active projects:
Andean Region: In partnership with the Instituto de Estudios Peruanos (IEP) and the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administracion (IESA) in Caracas, Kellogg is undertaking a project to build international linkages and support collaborative research on civic, administrative and economic reform in the Andean region.
US-Mexico TIES: The partnership between the University of Guadalajara and the University of Notre Dame aims to take advantage of the opportunities created by NAFTA to train and advise small agricultural producers and their associations on how to benefit from the new trade regime.
Brazilian Culture: Through the Kellogg Institute’s partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Culture, the art and culture of Brazil has been brought to the campus of the University of Notre Dame as well as to the Midwest region.
North American Exchange: Through this exchange program, students from the US, Canada, and Mexico can develop a comparative and transnational vision of the processes that characterize the NAFTA region to find innovative solutions to North American challenges.
Portuguese Culture (FLAD): In 2006 the Luso-American Development Foundation awarded a three-year grant to Faculty Fellow, Isabel Ferreira-Gould to support activities of the University’s Program in Portuguese and Brazilian Studies and the Kellogg Institute. The funding will be used to enrich undergraduate experience in Portuguese language classes, to support student research, to increase awareness in the broader community of Portuguese studies, and to nurture scholarly research on Portugal and the Lusophone world.
Notre Dame Prize: Funded by The Coca-Cola Foundation, the Notre Dame Prize has been awarded to some of the leading political, civil and religious figures in Latin America. |
