Status Report

Our objective is to foster the development of human capital that will ultimately result in social and economic development for small Mexican farms in Jalisco through three different component parts of our program. To monitor our progress toward our goals, we will collect data, which we will review with outside experts. On an annual reporting basis, monitoring of the partnership activities will be carried on for each of the three main components of the proposed engagement. We will share our progress in this space.

At the end of the three-year program both universities will assess the success of this program against its stated objectives. The set of experiences, problems, accomplishments and shortcomings learned from this initiative will be identified and judged in the first evaluation to make appropriate adjustments. The latter assessment will be used to determine the feasibility of replicating a program like this in other universities or regions of the country, in total or as a selection of its individual components.
