The Kellogg Institute for International Studies, part of the University of Notre Dame’s new Keough School of Global Affairs, is an interdisciplinary community of scholars that promotes research, provides educational opportunities, and builds linkages related to democracy and human development.
Loughrey retired from Cummins Inc., a Fortune 200 company based in Columbus, Indiana, in 2009. During his 35 years with the company, he served in a variety of capacities, including vice chairman of the Board and president/COO. Previously, he was president of AIESEC-USA. In a long and distinguished business career, he garnered significant global experience.
Loughrey chairs the boards of Hillenbrand, Inc. Oxfam America, and the Lumina Foundation for Education, and he sits on the boards of the Vanguard Group and the V Foundation for Cancer Research. He also serves on and was past chair (2009–12) of the Advisory Council to the College of Arts & Letters at the University of Notre Dame.
