2014 Photo Contest - Call for Photos

The 2014 Human Development Conference (HDC) announces its annual Photography Contest, which focuses on this year’s conference theme: “Transforming Development: New Actors, Innovative Technologies & Emerging Trends.”

All undergraduate and graduate students are invited to submit entries in the following categories:

Photo Categories

  • Innovative Development—Recent trends or implementation of new technologies

  • In the Field—Active community-based research

  • Face of Dignity—People and inspiration

  • Cooperation and Community—Diverse cultures and collaborative development

  • Landscapes Abroad—Beautiful scenery and backdrops to development

To submit a photo, please complete our fluid survey.

Only submissions received by Wednesday, January 15 Monday, February 10 will receive consideration.

Participants may submit up to five photographs.

The top five photo submissions in each category will be enlarged and displayed during the conference.

The photo contest committee will evaluate all entries before the conference. A guest photographer will judge the the top five photo submissions from each category. The winners will be announced at the conference banquet.

All submitted photos may be used by the University of Notre Dame for publicity or educational purposes. Photos will be properly credited when used.

The annual Human Development Conference is sponsored by the Ford Family Program in Human Development Studies and Solidarity and cosponsored by the Center for Social Concerns and SIT Study Abroad, a program of World Learning.
