The Ford Family Program in Human Development & Solidarity and the Center for Social Concerns of the University of Notre Dame, and the School for International Training of World Learning invite you to a student conference on topics critical to Human Development to be held at the University of Notre Dame on November 7- 8, 2008.

Participants will explore dynamic research and thought-provoking experiences as together we endeavor to refocus discourse on human development to reflect its primary goal: the service of human dignity. Graduate and undergraduate students representing 29 universities will present research performed in 28 countries on 4 continents. Thematic topics include:

Events will begin on the afternoon of Friday, November 7 with an Introductory Panel Presentation by 5 professionals from the School for International Training followed by a banquet and Keynote Address.

The Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Peter McPherson, former head of USAID, President Emeritus of Michigan State University, and current Chairman of Dow Jones and Co. Our distinguished undergraduate and graduate researchers will follow Friday’s activities with a full day of presentations and other interactive activities.
