Join us for the screening of City of God (Cidade de Deus)
This acclaimed film, codirected by Fernando Meirelles and Kátia Lund, tells the story of two boys growing up in a violent neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro who take different paths: one becomes a photographer, the other a drug dealer. The screenplay was adapted from a best-selling novel by Paulo Lins, who himself grew up in Cidade de Deus.
