Nuno Senos is resident director of the CIEE Study Center and research fellow of the Center for Overseas History at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa’s Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, where he leads a research group on art history. He has collaborated in the organization of exhibitions in New York, Philadelphia, and Washington and has written a number of articles on Portuguese and colonial art, including a chapter in The Arts in Latin America: 1492-1820 (Philadelphia Museum of Art and Yale University, 2006). His book O Paço da Ribeira, 1501-1581 (Lisbon, 2002) is a history of the former royal palace of Lisbon. Senos received his PhD from New York University.
