Martinez-Fonts is the CEO of J. P. Morgan Florida, Private Banking, responsible for overseeing the firm’s wealth management business in the state. He is a member of the Private Bank Executive Committee, the global decision-making group for day-to-day strategic and operating matters.

Martinez-Fonts has been with the Private Bank since 1993 and has held numerous leadership positions, most recently CEO of the Latin America Private Bank. Previously, he worked as a commodities trader covering Asia and Latin America for Czarnikow Rionda Co. He has lived in Hong Kong where he became fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.

He serves on the boards of directors of Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre in Manhattan and the Florida Grand Opera, one of the oldest performing arts organizations in Florida. His son, Joseph, graduated from Notre Dame in 2007.

Martinez-Fonts received his BS in foreign service from Georgetown University.
