Alvaro Martinez-FontsAs CEO of the JPMorgan Latin America Private Bank, Martinez-Fonts is responsible for overseeing all related business in the United States, Switzerland and Latin America offices. With over $30 billion of total client positions, the JPMorgan Latin America Private Bank is a leader in the Ultra High Net Worth market. Martinez-Fonts is a member of the Private Bank Operating Committee, the global decision-making group for day-to-day strategic and operating matters.

Martinez-Fonts has been with the Private Bank since 1993 and has held numerous leadership positions, including market executive for the Southern Cone and Mexico regions. Prior to joining the Private Bank he worked as a commodities trader covering Asia and Latin America at Czarnikow Rionda. He has lived in Hong Kong where he became fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.

He serves on the Board of Directors of Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre in Manhattan and acts as financial advisor to the Carmelite Fathers. His son, Joseph, graduated from Notre Dame in 2007.

Martinez-Fonts received his BS in foreign service from Georgetown University.
