Joe Loughrey

Former Vice Chairman of the Board and President/COO, Cummins Inc.

Joe LoughreyLoughrey retired from Cummins Inc., a Fortune 200 company based in Columbus, Indiana, in 2009. During his 35 years with the company, he served in a variety of capacities, including vice chairman of the Board and president/COO. Previously, he was president of AIESEC-International. In a long and distinguished business career, he garnered significant global experience.

Loughrey chairs the boards of Hillenbrand, Inc., Oxfam America, and the Lumina Foundation for Education and also sits on the boards of AB SKF, the Vanguard Group, Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc., and the V Foundation for Cancer Research. He also serves on and was past chair (2009–12) of the Advisory Council to the College of Arts & Letters at the University of Notre Dame.

He graduated from Notre Dame in 1971 with a degree in economics and a concentration in African studies.
