Joe Loughrey
Former Vice Chairman of the Board and President/COO, Cummins Inc.
Loughrey retired from Cummins Inc., a Fortune 250 company based in Columbus, Indiana, in 2009. During his 35 years with the company, he served in a variety of capacities, including vice chairman of the Board and president/COO. Previously, he worked for AIESEC-International. In a long and distinguished business career, he garnered significant global experience.
Loughrey sits on the boards of Hillenbrand, Inc., AB SKF, the Vanguard Group, Oxfam America, the Lumina Foundation for Education, the Great Pond Foundation, and the V Foundation for Cancer Research and chairs Conexus-Indiana, an Indiana-wide initiative. He also serves as chairman of the Advisory Council to the College of Arts & Letters at the University of Notre Dame.
He graduated from Notre Dame in 1971 with a degree in economics and a concentration in African studies.
